Laevo’s main goal is to protect against or prevent back injuries and to help people work longer and more comfortably so they can go home with more energy. We sell our own self-developed Laevo exoskeletons, but in the Benelux we also offer other innovative solutions from partners such as Dutch brand Skelex, German companies Hunic, WearHealth and E-Cooline, and Japanese brand Rakunie. This allows us to always offer a suitable solution within the Benelux.

Since its founding in 2013, Laevo has been a pioneer in the exoskeleton market and is one of the oldest and most experienced exoskeleton companies in the world. This is reflected in the number of scientific publications: Laevo is the most extensively researched exoskeleton worldwide.

Our exoskeletons are wearable supports that reduce physical strain and adapt to any posture. They operate using spring-based energy storage systems that store energy when you bend so no electricity or batteries are needed. Users experience less effort and fatigue when bending and returning to an upright position.

In professions with an increased risk of back injury, many workers are continuously protected against overload and harmful strain. This leads to reduced absenteeism and disability. It enables companies to take the next step in sustainable employability, foster good employer practices, and lower costs.

1. Analysis of the work situation

At Laevo, every project starts with a thorough analysis of your specific situation. We assess your work tasks and identify the core challenges—sometimes with the help of the WearHealth Platform, which uses AI and wearable sensors to map out ergonomic risks. We also use the Inclusive Technology inspiration tool, a recognized tool for reintegration opportunities. For larger companies, we take the time to fully understand your business processes and the ergonomic challenges your employees face.

2. Exoskeletons should be part of a broader intervention plan 

An exoskeleton on its own is not a miracle solution. It should be integrated into a broader intervention plan that also includes other ergonomic tools and improvements. We make sure all aspects of the workplace and working conditions are taken into account.

3. The exoskeleton must fit the task 

Choosing the right exoskeleton is crucial. In addition to our own Laevo exoskeletons, we offer a broad portfolio of exoskeletons from other brands to provide a tailored solution for your specific situation.
